Hydrogen is the only gas which dissolves in liquid aluminium. Because the solubility decreases drastically during solidification, high hydrogen concentration in liquid aluminium results in gas porosity in castings. Based on the principle of the first bubble, we have developed a compact and user-friendly hydrogen analyser.
